After my ok-ok experience with the Forest Essentials Revitalising Kashmiri Walnut Gel Scrub, I turned to one of my favourite brand – Juicy Chemistry. I’ll be honest with you, I never disliked a single product from them. Today I have the Juicy Chemistry Organic Aavarampoo Senna & Bergamot Face Scrub Review for you guys.
About The Juicy Chemistry Organic Aavarampoo Senna & Bergamot Face Scrub:-
So This Juicy Chemistry Scrub is described as
“Does your skin get dull and oily half way through the day? Then this scrub is for you! The wonderful Senna flower is blended with gorgeous Bergamot oil to perk up your skin cells into behaving themselves. Ayurvedic salt provides gentle exfoliation to reveal fresh shine-free skin.”
HOW TO USE:-
This juicy chemistry scrub needs to be used something like this
“Use the wee spoon and scoop a little product into a clean bowl. Mix it with a few drops of water. Spread the resulting mixture on your face in circular motions for a couple of minutes and wash clean. Use only once or twice a week!”
And when they say 2-3 drops, they mean it. I’ll come back to it in the “My Experiences” section.
This juicy chemistry scrub contains
“Sucrose, Sodium Chloride, Sucrose, Olea Europaea (Olive) Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (jojoba oil), Cassia Angustifolia ( Senna ) leaf powder, Amaranthus Caudatus (Amaranth Flour ), Carica papaya leaf extract, Tocopherol, Citrus Bergamia (Bergamot) Oil, Prunus Dulcis (sweet almond) Oil”
juicy chemistry changed the ingredient list for this face scrub on their updated website. The previous ingredient list for this face scrub was a little bit different. The old ingredient list looked a little like this-
“Himalayan Rock Salt, Organic Demerara Sugar, Organic Cane Sugar, Organic White Sugar, Olea Europea (Extra Virgin Olive Oil), Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba Oil), Tocopherol (Natural Vitamin-E), Prunus dulcis (Sweet Almond Oil), Citrus bergamia (Bergamot Essential Oil), Aavaram Senna Flowers.”
My Take On The Juicy Chemistry Organic Aavarampoo Senna & Bergamot Face Scrub:-
This juicy chemistry scrub comes in a clear plastic jar with a screw cap and it’s nicely sealed with an Aluminium foil. Juicy Chemistry also provides a protective lid with this face scrub. Which is really useful once you remove the Aluminium foil from the face scrub.
Overall the packaging is really good but the product very sensitive to water and moisture so you will have to keep it in a dry place. The screw cap is not enough to keep the moisture out.
This Juicy Chemistry Scrub has a very fresh citrusy fragrance, Which I really like. It is very refreshing and quite mild as well.
COLOUR AND CONSISTENCY:-
This is light brown in colour and the consistency is very crumbly and grainy. This face scrub will make a mess.
Price And SHELF LIFE:-
This juicy chemistry face scrub retails for ₹ 400 for 35 gm and ₹ 650 for 75 gm. As I am writing this review there is a sale going on the Juicy Chemistry Online Website (In case you guys are interested).
You will have to finish the product within 6 months of opening.

MY EXPERIENCE with The Juicy Chemistry Organic Aavarampoo Senna & Bergamot Face Scrub:-
So my first experience with this juicy chemistry face scrub was a little bit of a fail. To be honest, It was a total fail. So I took this face scrub in the bowl and mixed the same amount of water in it. Just as I did with the Juicy Chemistry Bulgarian Lavender & Black Rice Face Cleanser. But unlike the face cleanser, this face scrub turned watery. To an extent where it was impossible to use. So I had to throw that and mix a new batch. This time I followed the instructions provided by Juicy Chemistry to use this face scrub. So when they say mix 2-3 drops of water, they mean it.
Now when I use this I don’t even mix the 2 drops I just take the face scrub in my damp hands and rub it in between my palms and TADA! the face scrub is ready to use. This juicy chemistry scrub is very sensitive to moisture so keep that in mind when using.
Now let’s talk about the effects of this juicy chemistry scrub on my skin. So my first use was just as you would normally use a face scrub, After washing your face with a face wash. But due to the oils present in this face scrub, it left my skin oily and greasy. Definitely not a look I was going for. So I came up with a solution. I just simply started using it before a face wash.
By doing so I got the exfoliation from the face scrub and the grease was removed with the face wash. This juicy chemistry scrub gives me a very soft and smooth skin. My skin feels very refreshed and it also makes my skin glow. Also, after I get rid of the excess oil I feel that the oils make my skin very moisturised.
Overall I really like this juicy chemistry face scrub
- Gives me soft and smooth skin
- Gives my skin a beautiful glow
- Leaves my skin moisturised (After using a face wash of course)
- Removes the dead skin
- Completely natural
- 100 % Vegetarian
- Free from Mineral Oil, Synthetic Fragrance, Colors, Parabens, BHT/BHA, Sulphates, Silicones, and other toxic/harmful chemicals
- A little difficult to use
- Greasy for my oily skin (But I solved this issue so no negative marks)
