Here is the last product from The Body Shop Drops Of Light Range that I own. Its The Body Shop Drops Of Light Brightening Serum. If I am being honest with you, This whole range is a bit disappointing, to say the least. Let’s see how this face serum performed for me.

My Take On The Body Shop Drops Of Light Brightening Serum:-
It comes in a white cardboard box. The actual product is in a white glass bottle with a dropper dispenser. The Packaging is really good and very pretty. But it’s not the most travel-friendly packaging as its glass and heavy.
There is a very mild floral scent to this serum, which gets transferred to the skin a little bit. I can’t really point which flower it smells like. But I can for sure tell that its floral.
COLOUR AND CONSISTENCY:-
It looks and feels very much like water. It is very lightweight and not at all greasy. Which leads to an easy absorption of the serum.
Price And SHELF LIFE:-
This serum retails for ₹ 2245 for 30ml with 2 years of shelf life

MY EXPERIENCE with The Body Shop Drops Of Light Brightening Serum:-
I used this serum exactly they recommended for more than 2 months twice a day. I would take a little bit of the product and massage it into my skin. The lightweight texture makes it very easy to absorb. There is no greasy residue left. Since it is very lightweight you can use this in the daytime as well.
After using this product my skin feels very soft Instantly. There is some level of moisturization in this product. So if you have super oily skin, like me, or you live in a humid environment this can be moisturising for you. But if you have dry skin you will have to use a moisturising cream with it (as they recommend).
That being said, even after using this for more than 2 months and almost finishing the product I did not see any difference in the dark spots. There is no brightening effect. My skin is not more luminous. It did not make my skin translucent or even toned (as they claim). Its pretty much the same as before.
Also, It didn’t give me acne or any type of allergic reactions.
Overall, I would say it does not worth the price.
- Makes my skin soft and smooth
- Smells amazing
- Moisturizing (At least for me)
- No difference in the dark spots
- No brightening effects
- My skin is not more luminous
- It did not make my skin translucent or even toned
- Not completely natural
- Not travel-friendly
