So in the last post, I showed you the TRESemme Styling Kit Free Hair Straightener (HERE) and I told you that I am going to review it today so here I am. This is what the Straightener looks like. It is pretty small as you can see I have put it with the Nataraj pencil and I think we all are familiar with its size so you can get an idea about its size.
My take on the TRESemme Styling Kit Free Hair Straightener:-
It is made up of plastic with ceramic plates on it. There is an on-off button inside of the Straightener. As I told you before it is very small. The quality is good. There is no heat indicator or temperature setting. The cord is also not very long so you have to stand very near to the plug. There was no manual or anything with the Straightener.
You can get this from
It heats up very quickly around 2 min. and also cool down quickly as well. There is no information about its highest temperature. It glides smoothly on my hair and it is quite handy and easy to grab.
It did nothing for my hair. It Straightened them a little bit but the effect is not visible at all. There are almost 5-6 passes on every hair strand and it took me around half an hour. My hair is not curly its wavy. I couldn’t assault my hair more so I stopped.
I think it is good for naturally straight and short hair but if you have long hair or crazy curls or you are lazy like me this is not for you.
BUT I can definitely see a shine in my hair after using this and it does not give that fried look.
- Small and compact
- Make my hair look shiny
- Easy to carry and lightweight
- Ceramic plates heat up quickly
- Good for shorter hair
- Didn’t straighten my hair
- Not suitable for long and curly hair
I think I just put it to a very difficult test. It can be good for men or shorter hair or you can style your bangs (I don’t have them) or maybe it can be used for curling your hair. But not for straightening. So overall this thing is of no use to me.
